WELCOME TO OUR PARK!

Our caretakers Jason and Nicole Smith have been in the role since the start of January 2022 and have hit the ground running with plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and service always with a smile!

Throughout their working lives both Jason and Nicole have held roles across several industries, but all with a consistent focus, that being frontline customer service.

Both Jason and Nicole have been actively involved in the community since their arrival to the Riverina region and are both members of the MIA OzFish – Leeton Bidgee Classic Committee which is held annually at Gogeldrie Riverside Park in early March.

Jason is a self-confessed “tinkerer” who also holds a State Rescue Board (SRB) Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA) Rescue NSW Accreditation and both he and Nicole are both active members of the Leeton VRA Unit.

About Our Caravan Park

Gogeldrie Riverside Park is set on 17 acres of natural bush setting with a beautiful river, the mighty
Murrumbidgee River running through it.

It is located approximately 25kms west of the neighbouring townships of Leeton, 35kms from Griffith, 40kms from Darlington Point and 45kms from Narrandera.

The iconic Gogeldrie Weir structure, located within the Gogeldrie Riverside Park precinct, is an integral part of Leeton and the region’s irrigation story. It was completed in 1959 to divert water from the
Murrumbidgee River to the Coleambally Irrigation Area via the Coleambally Canal, and to part of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Areas and associated irrigation districts via the Stuart Canal.

There are six gates each measuring 6.1 metres (20 ft) high and 12.2 metres (40 ft) wide. The gates are opened individually by electric motors placed centrally between piers.
